Will a bankruptcy threaten Clydeside Containers’ future?
For readers of Saturday’s story about what's happening behind the scenes of Clydeside Containers, you may have got the sense that lots of new information was coming in just hours before we scheduled the story. Not only did we receive a lengthy statement from an anonymous spokesperson at Clydeside Containers, but the former media man for the business, Nathan Sparling, also got in touch to distance himself from the project — which promised to revitalise the Broomielaw with a Boxpark-style food and drinks venue. But that wasn’t all that came to light at the eleventh hour: now we can reveal why there has been so much corporate turmoil at the business (aside from Sparling’s embezzlement conviction).
